Questions about acting classes in Houston

How much do acting classes cost? Ongoing studio classes that meet weekly usually charge by the month, and a single workshop or intensive is usually priced on its own. Private coaching costs more per hour than a group class. Prices change often, so check each school's website, and ask whether you can audit a class before you pay.

Which kind of class should I take first? A technique or scene study class if you are starting out, an on-camera audition class if you are already sending self tapes, and improv if you want to loosen up or book more commercials.

Are there classes for kids and teens? Yes. Drama Kids Of NW Houston and Studio for Actors Houston teach young actors.

Can I take classes online? Many studios teach some classes over Zoom as well as in person. The school's website will say which.
